What it is
Paylet makes payment links in USDG on Robinhood Chain. A link names who gets paid, how much and why. Anyone who opens it can pay, and the USDG goes from their wallet to the payee in the same transaction.
Links
- Fixed amount: paid once. After the first payment the link shows as paid and refuses more.
- Any amount: the payer chooses; the link takes any number of payments (tips, donations, a shop counter).
- Note: up to 140 characters, shown to the payer.
- Expiry: optional. After it the link refuses payments.
- Close: the payee can close a link at any time.
Each link is stored on chain by number; its page is /pay/?id=N. Your links page lists them with payment counts and totals.
Paying
From Robinhood Chain, the payer signs a USDG permit and one transaction; there is no separate approve. The payer can add a note of their own, which is recorded with the payment.
From other chains
The pay page can start on Base, Arbitrum, Ethereum, Optimism, BNB Chain or Polygon, with USDC or the chain's native coin. It asks Relay for a route that delivers the exact USDG amount to the payer's own address on Robinhood Chain, plus a little ETH for gas if they have none, then pays the link from there. Relay's own fee is included in the amount the payer sends. If the bridge fails, Relay refunds the payer.
Fees
Each payment pays 0.25% to the Paylet treasury, inside the same transaction. The contract caps the fee at 1%. Creating and closing links cost only gas.
What the owner can do
- Change the fee, never above 1%.
- Change the owner and treasury addresses.
The contract never holds USDG, so there is nothing for anyone to withdraw or freeze. The owner can't edit, close or redirect anyone's links.
Risks
The contract is unaudited. Payments on chain are final; check the amount and the payee before paying. Cross-chain payments depend on Relay.
Token
The Paylet token launches on pons. Its address will be listed here and on the home page.
